JENNNNNNNNNNNNNIII

Enough with the virgins turning into sluts! I couldn’t even finish it!

I found the leap the character from goody-goody to prostitute unbelievable. However, I still enjoyed the book and the characters development.

I loved this book and can't wait for Payton’s book.

Good Girl - So Good! I think I’m kinda in love with a Good Girl! Lydia is funny and quirky and amazing. Rhys never even has a chance against her awesomeness! And I SO want more of EVERY supporting character!! Give me more!!! I don’t know when I’ve just completely enjoyed a book so much! “I thought if he just gave me a chance he might like me in a several-months kind of way instead of a two-day-shipping kind of way. That was the plan after all. Sorta the plan. Falling in love with him was not the plan.” -More than 5 Stars!-

Jana Aston is a comedic genius! She should write for television, but of course, it would have to be for cable since she has such a naughty mind. Ms. Aston’s latest novel, Good Girl, is a seriously funny romantic comedy. The story is well paced. The plot is straight forward and easy to follow. There is no real angst, and the humor is over-the-top. I was literally laughing out loud at Lydia’s antics and Payton’s creatively mixed up phraseology. Lydia is the perfect nerd. The former Girl Trooper is a total “good girl”. Her innocence and enthusiasm are adorable attributes. Her best friend Payton, is not quite so innocent, but she is 100% a loyal friend with the best of intentions when it comes to her gal pal, Lydia’s interest in Rhys, her swoon new boss. Ms. Aston has made it chic to be a virgin who holds out for someone worthy. her quirky sense of humor shines through her characters and their wacky predicaments. I fell for all the characters in Good Girl, but recent-college-graduate, Lydia is one of my all time favorites. Good Girl is a feel-good, laugh-out-loud read that left a smile on my face. I got my reading badge, and now I’m working on my bug-the-author-for-more-books-about-these-characters badge.

This book is AWESOME!! Lydia is a 22 year old virgin straight out of college and starting her first post graduate job at the Windsor hotel and casino. She and her best friend/roommate go to a bar to have a drink after moving to Vegas. At the bar, Lydia gets a unforgettable kiss from a stranger. We find out this stranger is her new boss’s, boss, Rhys. His family owns a lot of companies and The Windsor is his contribution to the family’s name. He is a 34 year old bachelor who doesn’t have time for relationships. But he can’t quit thinking about that good girl he kissed at the bar. This book was hilarious. I loved Lydia and how she was determined to get what she wanted. Her inner dialogue and the stuff that came out of her mouth had me laughing my butt off. Her friend Payton is just as funny. I can’t wait to get her story! All the Trooper girl stuff was brilliant. Rhys was initially a big jerk. He wanted her, but he didn’t want to want her. I did get a good kick out of how his friends goaded him about Lydia. I thoroughly loved this book. I highly recommend it. And I can’t wait to see what Ms. Aston comes up with next!

Good Girl! Ah What a breath of fresh air. I absolutely loved the MCs Lydia and Rhys. This was very much a character driven book and what a wild-ride it was. One of of things I love about Jana books is that this author knows how to blend humor and romance in a way that makes me wanna laugh and cry! Its a gift! The plot is very well-done and fleshed out. There were never points where I was left truly confused or waiting for a plot point for long. The cover is gorgeous and the words inside live up to that gorgeous cover. (I will probably do a re-read soon...just you know for laughs...not because Rhys is one sexy dirty talker lol) What I like about Jana's books are her backs for writing heroines that are strong, relatable, and just great humans. Even in the books when the heroes were meh for me..the heroines are fantastic! Another winner from Jana! I cannot wait to read Payton's book

Jana Aston out does herself and brings us another hilarious, unforgettable book with Good Girl. Rhys and Lydia were so much fun to read about. I love Lydia’s quirkiness and outlandish idioms and Rhys more serious way of thinking, the mix makes them perfect together and makes them one of my top favorite couples ever! The secondary cast isn’t one to turn an eye on and I can’t wait for more in this series. Especially Payton’s book.

This book was absolutely hilarious and I didn’t want to stop reading. Lydia & Payton will have you laughing out loud and having a smile on your face. Rhys and Lydia are so adorable together and definitely will become your favorite couple. I know every time that I one click any of Jana’s books I will always have a smile on my face, be completely in love with the characters and crack up with everything crazy thing the characters have to say and of course I am never disappointed . Another 5 Star read that everyone needs to read. I am definitely a fan for life. I can’t wait for Payton’s story next.

Can we talk about this cover? How does Jana find the hot guys in suits? More importantly WHERE does she find the hot guys in suits? Good Girl follows Sure Thing and is set in the Sutton empire. I'm gonna be honest and say I was a bit put off in the beginning with another story of a "broke" girl and "rice" boy. I think I've read a few too many of those back to back and am longing for a "broke" boy and "rice" girl book. And I was so afraid that would tarnish my outlook throughout the whole story. I'm happy to say it didn't. I got over it pretty fast b/c I fell absolutely in love with Lydia, even though she is young and "broke" (fresh out of college). I loved her no holds bar on what she is thinking. I love her zero filter and always questioning brain. I was a bit put off by Rhys' blinded by non-commitment. I get a bit where he was coming from b/c of the age difference, but nothing he did or said or past he has gave us, the readers, the thought that he was a "bad guy" like he thought he was. All his reasoning for his lifestyle were (imo) legit. Can't fault him for that, and I hated that he faulted himself for it. You know when you get to about 70% of the story and the angst/arc happens? Yeah I was looking for it. At 85% I was all 'am I missing a quarter of the story?'. Everything was still flowing pretty darn well. I honestly didn't want it to end and I didn't want angst and was happy that we were getting a book sans angst. But it did happen in a way (like at 93%) and I was worried it would feel like a rushed ending, but it WORKED. It really really worked. There are a few questions left unanswered. I don't want to type them here b/c I feel they are spoiler'ish. But I have questions. grrrr

I am enthusiastically in love with this book! The banter was so much fun to read and had me wishing when I was nervous that I would come up with half of the ridiculous stuff that Lydia does. The chemistry was there and there were some seriously hot scenes that worked so well in this story. I also have to say, working in HR that this book had me laughing a lot.
